WEEK 5: Sejahtera as Local Concept of Sustainable Development

Assalamualaikum w.b.t and hello!

On week 5, our discussion focused on Sejahtera as Local Concept of Sustainable Development. Here are some key takeaways from what I've gained this week:

1. We explored the meaning behind the MADANI concept, which stands for:

  • keMampanan (Sustainability)
  • kesejAhteraan (Prosperity)
  • Daya cipta (Innovation)
  • hormAt (Respect)
  • keyakiNan (Trust)
  • Ihsan (Care and Compassion)

These values are not only relevant at a policy level but should also be applied in our daily lives to foster a more compassionate and forward-thinking society.

2. The MADANI agendas:

  • problem-solving process
  • meeting the needs of the nation
  • creating of a peaceful and prosperous future
  • fulfilling the potential of the people and the country.
3. We also discussed the importance of localising the sustainabili
ty agenda.
  • Localising is the process of adapting a product or service to meet the needs and expectations of customers in a particular region, country, language, or culture. The goal of localising is to create an experience that resonates with local customers while still maintaining the core brand identity across all markets.
  • On the other hand, localising sustainability agenda means taking a regional approach and implementing sustainable initiatives. It helps to ensure the environmental and economic goals are met in a way that is beneficial for both current and future generations.
That's all for this week. Thank you for reading, and may we continue to strive for a Sejahtera society together.
